Hello! Hi Steven - great idea and thanks for putting this together. I hope everyone had a grand time in Osoyoos (despite the hurricane!) . We drove through a freak-show blizzard on the way back from Kelowna on Monday through the Coq (it started before we even got to Merrit). But we made it out and back into the sunshine and somehow we didn't lose any time - so mysteries abound.

I'm feeling wonderful and so glad to have gotten out of the job at the District - one gal's already been hired and already quit and since I've left things have gone from bad to worse for the film industry's relationship with the District - my friend Mick (a location manager) has been keeping me informed of the all the news. Too bad the District couldn't respond properly to the incredible influx of business the film industry is bringing in - but they simply chose to ignore it, mostly because I was (barely) managing it so well for them. I did work in Economic Development, hello?

I'm 'doing my own thang' now developing my own way of making a living through my creative pursuits of a spiritual/energy nature. For extra support as this evolves I also got a p/t job at a growing local construction company. Very casual, very fun, very close to home, and I'm setting up their computer network, helping to increase their efficiency, doing database administration and helping them get the reporting information they need. So it's great to be appreciated for what I bring. And to be paid based on that - what a concept!

Welcome to the Bader Family blog

Hey everyone,

This is Steve here. Aunt Margaret put this thought into my head at the golf tourney, and decided to put it into action. The point of it is that if anyone in the Bader/Johnston/whathaveyou family has some news they'd like to share with everyone, but don't know everybody's e-mail addresses, now there is a forum for it. Now, as far as I can tell, anybody can post to this site. I'm going to start inviting the people I have addresses for, and hopefully they will pass it along to others. I hope that when the invitation goes out, it will link to the Dashboard, and you can set about learning the wonders of blogging. You can even set it up so that you can post to the site by emailing a special address, by going to the Email Tab on the Settings page of the Dashboard. A lot of the important parts are straightforward, like posting and adding pictures. I hope that this page will see a lot of good news from the whole famn damily, like this: I am going on a Caribbean cruise in February for a week. I will be celebrating a wedding there. So, here goes nothing, Bader family. Welcome to your blog.
